The main Food Logistics Distribution Center in southeastern Spain and considered a critical operator by the Ministry of the Interior, currently performs an essential service, guaranteeing the supply of fresh products to the population.The mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, chaired this morning the Ordinary General Meeting of Mercamurcia Shareholders, which, for the first time, was held by videoconference due to extraordinary measures to deal with COVID-19.Mercamurcia, the main Food Logistics Distribution Center in southeastern Spain and considered a critical operator by the Ministry of the Interior, currently performs an essential service guaranteeing the supply of fresh products to the population.During the videoconference, Mercamurcia reported that the more than 150 companies that operate in the Center and that supply deferred supplies, retailers and supermarkets in the Region and its area of ??influence, continue their activity following all the recommendations of the health authorities, guaranteeing supplying normally during these weeks of Alarm Status.The achievement of this objective allows a safe supply of food to the population and that there are entities that guarantee efficient regulation, maintaining the principles of transparency.
In this way, the quality control of food is facilitated to the health authorities, transmitting tranquility and security in these difficult times.
