Councilor Juan Vicente Larrosa affirms that "it is necessary to have designed and agreed upon initiatives that contribute to the commercial sector, and to a greater extent local commerce, by the time it restarts its activity, in order not to waste time and take the path of debate and decision making journey " The Municipal Socialist Group estimates that, before implementing any measure with the intention of working on the recovery of the municipality after the COVID-19 pandemic, it is necessary to maintain a dialogue with society, since without the opinion of those interested it is more difficult afterwards to obtain good results from the initiatives that are launched.

Therefore, the measures designed by the PSOE were sent a couple of weeks ago to the social and economic agents.

And for this reason, Councilor Juan Vicente Larrosa considers it essential to convene and hold the Local Trade Council, in order to share the reality of this sector and decide what to do to help it combat the effects of the pandemic. In the motion that he has presented to the next plenary session, the mayor points out that the Local Council of Commerce is a fundamental organ to analyze the situation of retail trade in the area of ??the municipality of Murcia, as well as to propose and promote initiatives to enhance commercial attractiveness, contributing to the improvement of quality of life. Larrosa acknowledges that "in the context we are experiencing due to the health pandemic caused by COVID-19, during which commercial activity is being severely affected, and it will not be easy at the time of restarting it, we should ensure so that this reopening is as easy as possible by establishing a Global Social Recovery Plan for the Municipality of Murcia, in which the commercial sector plays a leading role in economic development ". In addition, the councilor states that "it is necessary to have designed and agreed upon measures that contribute to the commercial sector, and to a greater extent local commerce, by the time it restarts its activity, in order not to waste time and lead the way of the debate and decision-making journey.

" For all these reasons, it requests the Plenary to urgently call the Local Council of Commerce by the safest means, in order to know the needs and the necessary measures that "the members of the merchants may ask us, integrating said measures within a Social Recovery Plan of the Municipality, and thus be able to return to normality as soon as possible ".
