The Local Police will have a three-dimensional laser scanner that will facilitate measurements and analysis in traffic accidents (24/04/2020)

| The Governing Board also approves the specifications to acquire three pedagogical radars, a laser cinemometer, a drug analyzer and two ethylometers | The Governing Board has given the go-ahead to the specification to contract various material from local police reports.Specifically, a maximum of € 105,270 will be invested to acquire a laser scanner for the capture of three-dimensional data, three pedagogical radars, a laser kinemometer, a drug analyzer and two ethylmeters. The contractor company will have to carry out the supply within a period of three months from the formalization of the contract. The laser scanner captures three-dimensional data making it easier to measure in a traffic accident and its subsequent analysis. The equipment must be capable of capturing a point cloud, RGB image and thermography all from the same device, with a 360º x 300º field of view and a range of 0.6 to 60 meters.Likewise, the specification includes the supply of three pedagogical radars, speed bumps that are responsible for informing the driver of their speeding on public roads, in order to reduce speed. The cinemometer to be supplied will be an autonomous device capable of detecting the presence of the vehicles that circulate in the control area and measuring the speed of each one of them, both in distance and in approach, using laser technologyThe mission of the cinemometer will therefore be to identify with absolute reliability possible speed violations and document them in a detailed and safe manner. As for the drug analyzer, it must be portable and have individual test cartridges for drug detection in drivers by saliva analysis. In order to avoid as long as possible long periods of time when obtaining the result, the portable analyzer device will be able to analyze the collected oral fluid sample in a time not exceeding five and a half minutes. The contract also includes two maximum precision portable ethometers to measure the concentration of alcohol in exhaled air.
