Murcia invests more than 300,000 euros in the DUSI Strategy for the development of its territorial model (24/04/2020)

| The Governing Board awards the company Comunicación Integral the information and advertising service for the Murcia IT, Innovation and Tradition project, as well as the University of Murcia technical assistance | The Governing Board today approved the award of the communication, information and advertising service, as well as technical assistance for the Murcia IT, Innovation and Tradition / DUSI Strategy (Sustainable and Integrated Urban Development) project, co-financed 80% by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) in the framework of the 2014/2020 Sustainable Growth Operational Program.The total investment for both services amounts to 325,992 euros (VAT included) and the execution period will be three years.Specifically, the company Difusión Comunicación Integral will be in charge of preparing the communication, information and advertising plan, with a budget of 113,032, and the University of Murcia will be the entity responsible for technical assistance for the implementation of the implementation and support for the functions of the Murcia IT Strategy Management Unit: Innovation and Tradition, with a budget of 212,960 euros.

The City Council is immersed in the development of investment projects from the European Union, framed in two strategies: DUSI, focused on the territorial model through initiatives of sustainable mobility, valorization of urban heritage elements or the revitalization of neighborhoods; and Murcia Smart City, with the 'MiMurcia' project, the platform to bring the consistory closer to citizens, personalizing the information according to its context, location and time.The financing of these projects is a work carried out by the Department of Urban Agenda and Open Government, led by Mercedes Bernabé, through the European Programs Service of the consistory.Regarding the functions of both services, the Integral Communication company will be in charge of the project image and application manual, the elaboration of a communication plan and advisory work for a better dissemination of the different actions that are carried out.For its part, the University of Murcia will host technical assistance in the strategy implementation plan and in citizen participation processes, as well as monitor and evaluate all actions.
