The youngest can access a workbook that promotes their environmental awareness online (23/04/2020)

| You can now download this publication that seeks to raise awareness among children of the importance of the 7 R's of recycling | The Department of Sustainable Mobility and Youth, together with Ferrovial Servicios, continue to promote environmental awareness among the little ones.Since the current exceptional situation has caused the interruption of the educational campaign that is carried out in all the schools of the municipality and in the Treatment Center of Cañada Hermosa, the council has adapted the campaign so that children can continue learning from home. Thus, on the web http://murciaciudadsostenible.es/es/kiosco-virtual, a workbook has been made available to the little ones to promote the habit of reading and continue promoting environmental awareness in a didactic and fun way.The material available for download makes children aware of the importance of complying with the 7 R's of recycling, such as reflecting, reducing, repairing, reusing, renovating, recovering and recycling and doing it through reading.

It also includes games like word puzzles, cut and paste or quizzes to share with the rest of the family. This awareness campaign that is now done online reaches more than 15,000 students annually with the aim of promoting in this group the most correct guidelines related to waste and the environment, as well as active participation in this important environmental aspect.Councilwoman Rebeca Pérez explained that "with this initiative we seek that the smallest read, learn, entertain themselves and get to know the waste better, knowing how to reduce, reuse, repair and separate them for recycling."
