The PSOE takes the initiative again and will explain directly to Murcian society its proposals included in the social agreement they presented last week (22/04/2020)

Serrano: "We have been loyal, purposeful and we ask Mayor Ballesta to be respectful of the work of our councilmen and councilors, we have taken the initiative in this crisis and ask the government team to consider incorporating some of our measures into a plan serious social recovery of the municipality " The PSOE considers that the Murcia City Council government team must be consistent, and decide which projects can be left in a drawer, because the priority now is to rescue people, the self-employed and SMEs in our municipality. After the study and presentation to the social and economic agents of 65 basic measures for the recovery of the municipality once the pandemic passes, the Municipal Socialist Group, in a further step to publicize these proposals and open participation, offers a channel for publicize these measures through the councilors who have designed them, in three fundamental areas, social protection, economic dynamism and protection and job creation, within the municipal powers.

They will do it on their Facebook page from Wednesday the 22nd at 7pm and until next Tuesday the 28th. José Antonio Serrano declares that "in the PSOE we believe in participation, that is why we understand that it is important that in the reconstruction of the future of the municipality, social, economic and political agents can participate, that is why we believe it is essential to open that base document so that they could enrich it, with nuances and corrections and we want to explain it to society.

" "We will always be where there is a true project for the social and economic recovery of the municipality that must be sustained in short, medium and long-term measures and that must be endowed with a budget," says Serrano.

The spokesperson clarifies that "we ask the government team to be brave and make decisions, it should park in the drawer those projects that may not be so necessary at this time." The socialist spokesman affirms that "nobody would forgive us if we now prioritize spending thousands of euros on flowers or Christmas trees, when there are families that are going to have difficulties to cover their basic needs or that merchants and hoteliers consider closing their businesses, and the City Council has not done the impossible to help them.

" From the PSOE they clarify that they appreciate that the mayor has called them to be part of the working groups for the reconstruction of the municipality, but they warn that they want to work on a serious and courageous document, so they took the initiative by presenting a social agreement open to social and economic agents.

Serrano clarifies that "we have been loyal, purposeful and we ask the government team to be respectful of the work of our councilmen and councilors, we have taken the initiative during this crisis and now the government team is reluctant to incorporate some of our measures into a municipality's social recovery plan " To conclude, Serrano declares that "the nine councilors of the PSOE have not stopped contributing ideas and working during this crisis, and we will continue to contribute as long as what is proposed is serious, courageous work in the budget that prioritizes the rescue of the people, our companies and our freelancers.
