A specific program will allow Murcians to enjoy environmental awareness and awareness activities at the La Contraparada Visitor Center (17/04/2020)

| The new contract seeks to promote awareness of the hydraulic complex and its exceptional environmental and cultural values ??| The Governing Board has approved the specifications to contract the information and public use program of the Contraparada, for a maximum price of 166,264 euros for a period of three years.Thanks to this contract, different awareness, sensitization and environmental information activities will be held at the La Contraparada Visitor Center and the visits that are registered in the area will be attended, in order to extend this information and awareness to the Segura river and to the whole of the Huerta de Murcia.The recipients of this program will be people residing in the municipality as well as associations, cultural centers, schools and any group of municipal scope (Centers for the Elderly, Centers for Women, Associations for the reintegration of people in situations of social exclusion, Associations people with functional diversity ...), who visit La Contraparada or who request to participate in the programmed activities.The activities to be carried out by the company awarded this contract will be:Attention at the Information point of La Contraparada (Soto de las Aneas)The winning company must have at least one informant who is in charge of the existing information point in La Contraparada, located next to the recreational area on the left bank of the Segura River (Soto de las Aneas-Javalí Viejo), informing visitors about the activities that are carried out in the Visitors Center (right bank of the River) as well as in the area of ??La Contraparada: environmental tour, most relevant natural-cultural-historical-landscape-ethnographic aspects of the Huerta de Murcia, behavioral standards, and any other information they need, delivering brochures or other existing dissemination materials.The service hours (minimum) will be Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, from 9:30 a.m.

to 2:00 p.m., from September 1 to June 15 (It will remain closed from June 16 to August 30, and on December 25, January 1, January 6).Performances at the Visitor Center of La ContraparadaThe Visitor Center of La Contraparada (Javalí Nuevo) is conceived as a facility for communication and interpretation of the values ??of both the site of La Contraparada, and, in general, the Segura river and the Huerta de Murcia.The Center will be destined to receive visitors and provide them with the necessary information to interpret the most relevant natural, landscape, cultural, historical and ethnographic values ??of the environment and the whole of the Segura river, the orchard of Murcia and the river-orchard relationship.

.With the start-up of this center, the aim is, therefore, to facilitate a first contact with both the surroundings of the Contraparada and the whole of the Murcian orchard and its river, and stimulate the visitor to understand, know and preserve it.At the Information point within the Visitor Center, the winning company must have at least one informant who will be in charge of attending to visitors at the La Contraparada Visitor Center, and who will have the following functions:Open and close the center and receive visitorsInform visitors about the resources, conditions for their visit, and general content of the Center's facilities.Inform visitors about the external environmental itinerary, as well as the rules of behavior for visitors and any other information they need about La ContraparadaTake care of the operation of the equipment, proceeding on and off, audiovisual projection and other operations.Address the needs of visitors during their visit to the Center.Keep visitor records and distribute satisfaction surveys, developing the corresponding statistics.For activities for groups (from October to May, both months inclusive), the company must have, on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, at least one specialist technician, who, during the opening hours of the Center, will offer guided itineraries for groups with reservation or to people who go individually, on demand, through the area of ??La Contraparada (a minimum of 10 people will be required to form a group).The itineraries will be carried out by the specialist technician.

A maximum of 2 groups per day can be formed.

The visit, which will last approximately 2 hours, will include a tour of the Center and an environmental itinerary, where you will report on the most relevant environmental, cultural or ethnographic and landscape aspects of the Site and the La Contraparada hydraulic complex.For the activities from Monday to Friday, the minimum schedule for this activity will be from October 1 to May 31, two days a week (working days), to be distributed from Monday to Friday, from 9: 30-14 hours.

On two days a week, a specialist technician will be in charge of offering guided itineraries to groups with reservations.A minimum of 10 people and a maximum of 50 will be required to form a group.Multiple use program and events in the Visitor Center.The winning company will be in charge of promoting the use of the multipurpose room of the Visitors Center for projections, presentations, talks, etc.The company will identify the interesting activities that could be done and would manage its realization in addition to attending to possible requests from associations or individuals.They will be held, with a maximum duration of 4 hours, within the opening hours of the Center, and within two days a week that the center opensIn the Technical Report, the bidding companies will make a proposal of possible activities.In addition, they will have to develop the creation, maintenance and updating of the website of the Contraparada Center.
