The Department of Education and Nursery Schools, led by Belén López, maintains contact, through its educators, with the families of school children, between 0 and 3 years old, in the seven centers of the municipality of Murcia.
"The objective is to be as close as possible to parents, to advise them, provide them with tasks and activities that they can do at home to facilitate their stay and, at the same time, continue with the educational curriculum of nursery schools", highlights Belén López .
The teachers are in direct contact with the families through email to offer them all the educational material necessary to carry out with the little ones during this period, as well as guidelines and advice on the routines that the children must carry out at home.
In this way, the tutors send them stories daily, activities to work on the senses, such as listening to the sounds of the street, tasting different fruits and discriminating basic colors through food and songs.
In addition, given the young age of the children, exercises are provided to work on the language, such as the pronunciation of the different letters and vowels, as well as continuing with the routine of potty training, a primary task of educators and family in the childish.
In addition, the educational staff continues to work from home with the updating of pedagogical programs, such as reports, scheduling of workshops and activities, evaluations and protocols.

The municipality of Murcia has seven nursery schools that serve a total of 511 students.
These children are cared for by 79 professionals, of whom 59 are educators, 7 are cooks and 13 are operating personnel.

The Department of Education has produced a video, as a summary, with the work being carried out by nursery school educators and with the participation of families.
The recording shows some of the resources professionals offer and children can be seen working from home.
Also the centers of Our Lady of Los Angeles, of Sangonera la Verde, and that of San Roque, of Algezares, have made their own videos to encourage the students and their parents, in addition to thanking them for the work they are developing.
