For this reason, the council is disseminating information regarding municipal resources for situations of gender violence that are attended to by telephone and by email by regular professionals.

All resources continue to work 100%, and they can be accessed through EMAVI phones.

Councilor Pilar Torres explained that "we make all the means and professionals available to women who may be in a situation of gender violence, since it can be aggravated by the state of confinement, so it is very important that the information and access to resources for care and urgency reach the majority of the population, encouraged to call the available phones or contact them through WhatsApp or email, because they will receive immediate response and help "

The social educators, the legal adviser, psychologists and social worker who make up the EMAVI multiprofessional team attend these cases daily and are in coordination and permanent communication with the Network of resources for care and reception of situations of gender violence in the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia, managed by the General Directorate for Gender Equality and Diversity, as well as with the national network of resources of the Government of Spain, through the Women's Institute of the Ministry of Equality.

The City Council also manages the foster homes, currently being occupied by 5 women and 6 minors, who receive the usual comprehensive care.

The network of services and resources provided by the Murcia City Council is completed with the resources of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia, made up of the CAVI centers, the device for emergencies due to gender violence through the emergency telephone number 112 , the psychological attention service for minors exposed to gender violence, SAMPEX, the emergency reception center for situations of gender violence, or the telephone interpretation service in different languages for those women who do not speak our language.

It is important to publicize that the Violence against Women Courts are essential services and continue to function normally, as do all care, information, counseling and reception services for women in situations of gender violence.

It is also important to know that confinement for reasons of gender-based violence can be broken without fear of being fined for it.

In an imminent risk situation due to assault or violence within the home, the first thing is to get to safety and try to leave the home as soon as possible and ask for help from the neighbors through the means available at that time, or through the windows In the event that you cannot leave the residence, contact the police or state security forces through the telephone numbers: 061, 091 or 112.

It is convenient to download the free ALERTCOPS police mobile application, through which, just by pressing the button on gender violence, a warning is sent to the police about the situation of risk due to violence and the location is sent automatically.

In these situations, it is convenient to have a backpack ready with everything you need: documentation, health card, bank cards, regular medication, some clothes, etc.

It is also very important to have the keys to the house on hand, as it is common for the abuser to prevent leaving the home by locking it.

If she has to leave the residence, she must know that she and the minors in her care will be protected, and she will have all the support and advice she needs.
