Terra Natura opens its doors through social networks (10/04/2020)

The City Council, through the Department of Urban Development and Administration Modernization, which José Guillén directs, opens the municipal zoo Terra Natura through social networks to citizens to show the activity within the facilities.

The park closed its doors to the public as a preventive measure to prevent the spread of Covid-19 after the declaration of the state of alarm, however, its activity continues inside with the care of animals and the maintenance of the space.

Thus, caregivers and veterinarians tell through different videos broadcast by the Terra Natura Facebook, Twitter and Instagram channels the main tasks of caring for the different species that inhabit the park, from giraffes, brown bears, hippos, bats, giraffes or hyenas, among others.

Thus, they explain, for example, their food, environmental enrichment activities, maintenance and cleaning of spaces, as well as the necessary revision and monitoring plan to ensure their perfect condition.

“Murcians can enjoy during these days our most emblematic park from home thanks to new technologies.

We have designed a program with multimedia content in which the workers themselves show citizens every day some of the curiosities and anecdotes of animals, "explains José Guillén.

Likewise, the educators of the Terra Natura school also propose, through social networks, activities and craft exercises for the little ones to carry out from their home and with their family.
