Line 010 to serve the most vulnerable

The City Council decided, from the last Health Committee, to unify on line 010 all public information regarding the most vulnerable population, a measure framed in the Social Contingency Plan to respond to this crisis caused by COVID19 to this group.

Thus, the number of Citizen Attention 010 has received, since March 31, a total of 1,084 calls, of which 81 correspond to requests related to Social Services, such as food aid, donations and volunteering.

Thus, the hours of operation are Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

On the other hand, to contact this service from outside the municipality of Murcia, those interested should contact the phone 968 229 549.

Regarding the type of requests, people who have used this number have done so to request food assistance, request information on financial aid for being unemployed due to the health crisis, interested in helping by providing fabric for the manufacture of masks or to transport food.

Based on the data, it should be noted that last Wednesday, April 1, was the day that the most calls received the number 010, a total of 343, since the establishment of the state of alarm, as well as since the consistory unified in this way all calls to attend to the most vulnerable groups.

"Our priority now is to help families who have been confined to their homes since the declaration of the state of alarm and are being affected, both economically and in the supply of food," explains the councilor for Social Rights and Family , Pilar Torres.

Social Services consultations, donations and volunteering

Companies that want to make donations of hygiene, food or cleaning products, as well as individuals who want to volunteer, should contact this phone.
