Murcia lights up from today with the colors of Easter (03/04/2020)

Different buildings and spaces in the city of Murcia will be illuminated, starting today and until next April 11, in the colors of Easter in Murcia.

Thus, the Moneo building, the Almudí Palace, the Alfonso X promenade and Murcia River will be illuminated each day in a different color, representing the brotherhoods that parade in procession during these days in which the Passion of Christ is relived.

The City Council carries out this initiative as a symbolic sign of the celebration of Easter in Murcia, declared of International Tourist Interest and which takes place between Dolores Friday and Easter Sunday.

In this way, the city of Murcia will be illuminated in the following colors:

Friday, April 3: Azul, by the Cristo del Amparo Brotherhood.

Saturday, April 4: Red, by the Brotherhood of Christ of Charity.

Sunday, April 5: Green, by the Cristo de la Esperanza Brotherhood.

Monday, April 6: Magenta, by the Cristo del Perdón Brotherhood.

Tuesday, April 7: Purple, by the Brotherhood of Cristo del Rescate.

Wednesday, April 8: Red, by the Brotherhood of the Christ of the Blood.

Thursday, April 9: Purple, by the Brotherhood of Cristo del Refugio.

Friday, April 10: Dark blue, by the Servitas Brotherhood.

Saturday, April 11: White by the Brotherhood of the Lying Christ.

Starting Sunday, April 12, the aforementioned locations will once again light up in green in tribute to the restrooms and people who are working on the fight against Covid-19.
