500 schoolchildren from the municipality will benefit this summer from the nature, nautical and adventure camps (03/04/2020)

The City Council, through the Department of Education and Infant Schools, which is run by Belén López, carries out numerous training activities not only during school hours, but also during vacation periods.

Thus, the Governing Board today approved the specifications of particular administrative clauses and technical prescriptions for the hiring, by open procedure, of the leisure activities and free time service for next summer for schoolchildren in the municipality of Murcia, through four lots.

In this way, 500 boys and girls -250 for schoolchildren of 3rd and 4th Primary and 250 for 5th and 6th Primary- will benefit from this initiative that will be carried out from June 29 to July 29, 2020 and which will have an investment of 188,650 euros.

The Education Service offers a program of activities for summer vacations every year in order to promote the coexistence of students outside the school context.

These actions provide students with various learnings, such as the teaching of democratic values, tolerance or equal opportunities.

In this way, the program comprises a total of four camps:

Lot 1: environment and nature camp, aimed at 3rd and 4th grade primary school students.

It has a budget of 53,625 euros.

Lot 2: Adventure and English camp, aimed at schoolchildren in 5th and 6th grade of Primary Education.

It has a budget of 39,820 euros.

Lot 3: Nautical and English camp, aimed at 3rd and 4th grade primary school students.

It has a budget of 41,580 euros.

Lot 4: multi-adventure and mountain camp, aimed at 5th and 6th grade primary school students.

It has a budget of 53,625 euros.

Depending on the location, participants will pay fees ranging from 244 euros to 283 euros, which include: bus transportation accompanied by monitors, daily activities, excursions, full board and lodging, as well as one monitor / for every ten children.

The proposed shifts for the development of the stays are: from June 29 to July 5, from July 7 to 13, from July 15 to 21 and from July 23 to 29, 2020. Children will have the opportunity to do different activities during the camp, from workshops, excursions, sports, baths, games and itineraries.

Likewise, the stays will be carried out in facilities that have the necessary services: bedrooms, classrooms, open spaces, library, restrooms, kitchen and pool, among others.

All of them with the security measures of the age to which they are aimed, in good cleaning conditions and close to health services.
