The councilor for Sustainable Mobility and Youth, accompanied by the director of the Natural Environment, Fulgencio Perona, and the manager of MercaMurcia Ricardo Rubio, visited this morning the Agro-Food Logistics Distribution Center where the forest brigades have carried out disinfection work in the environment of the enclosure.
These works are in addition to those carried out by the Street Cleaning Service every Tuesday since the state of alarm began.
More than 40 people have participated in the operation carried out today with an important mechanical endowment: 5 vehicles from the Forest Brigades, 2 vehicles from the Rapid Intervention Brigades, another two from the Heli Transported Brigades, as well as 6 pumper vehicles.
Councilor Rebeca Pérez explained that "MercaMurcia continues in full operation guaranteeing the supply of food to the population with a wide area of influence, developing, therefore, an absolutely essential service that in turn requires special attention in terms of cleaning and disinfection "
The operators are using a sodium hypochlorite product - colloquially known as bleach - to clean and disinfect the municipality.
It is a concentration that is characterized by having a broad spectrum of antimicrobial activity and by being fast bactericidal, without leaving any type of toxic residue.
