The Museum of Science and Water launches the #NubesEnCasa campaign on social networks (01/04/2020)

In the framework of the virtual exhibition 'Clouds', the Museum of Science and Water, dependent on the Department of Culture and Recovery of Heritage, wants to encourage Murcians to observe the clouds they see from their window during confinement, starting up the #NubesEnCasa social media campaign.

To participate you have to upload to the Facebook wall or share photos of clouds on Twitter using the hashtag #NubesEnCasa, indicate the time and place from which the photograph was taken and the name of the author of the photo.

After the campaign, on April 11, a selection of photographs that present the most peculiar or significant clouds will be published, identifying them following the official international cloud classification.

Likewise, the Museum has created an activity notebook for the little ones with games and experiments with which they will learn to identify some of the most common types of clouds, and which can be downloaded from the Museum's website www.cienciayagua.org/ clouds-virtual-exhibition.

With this initiative, the Museum of Science and Water of the Murcia City Council maintains its commitment to continue contributing to knowledge and scientific dissemination among its citizens during the confinement produced by the Covid-19 health crisis.

On March 23, coinciding with the celebration of World Meteorological Day, the Museum of Science and Water presented the virtual exhibition 'Clouds' with the aim, not only of publicizing the different types of clouds and other meteorological phenomena, but also with the intention of highlighting the contributions of national meteorological and hydrological services to the safety and well-being of society.

The exhibition, for which the Museum has received the collaboration of the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET), has illustrative images captured in different locations of the national territory by photographers Jose María Serna and Rubén del Campo Hernández, and, with it, It makes available to the public some tools to learn to observe and identify the different categories of clouds.
