The women from Corvera join in the manufacture of masks and distribute 900 units among merchants and the elderly (01/04/2020)

Users of the Corvera Women's Center have joined the voluntary manufacture of masks, working from home to stop the spread of the coronavirus in the municipality.

Currently they have already donated the first batch of 900 masks, which have been destined for merchants and the elderly, as well as the Doctor Julio López Ámbit occupational center for people with disabilities and the Murcia City Council.

"Thousands of residents of more than twenty neighborhoods and districts of Murcia, including Corvera, Zarandona, Algezares, Barqueros, Cobatillas, Lobosillo and Llano de Brujas, among others, are turning to donating masks to different groups , showing the solidarity and generosity of the Murcian people â€, highlighted the Mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta.

Users of the Corvera Women's Center are preparing a next batch of 900 masks, which will be donated to different groups of workers at the Hospital de La Arrixaca.

This initiative by women from Corvera has aroused the interest of local residents, and some of them are now collaborating with the donation of materials.

In addition, a Corvera neighbor is dedicating her masks to Civil Protection.
