The Murcia City Council joins today, one more year, to 'Earth Hour', the initiative promoted by WWF that seeks to turn off the light for one hour as a symbolic sign of the fight against climate change.
The organization again mobilizes thousands of cities and entities to show that nature matters and encourages citizens to also participate from their homes.
In this way, the consistory joins this initiative by committing to turn off the light today, from 8:30 pm to 9:30 pm, of some of its most emblematic buildings and spaces: the Cathedral, the Episcopal Palace, the Moneo Building, the Monteagudo Castle , the Church of Santo Domingo, the Convent of the Claras, the Old Bridge, the Sculpture of the Sardine, the channel of Murcia Río, the Manterola footbridge, the Almudí Palace and the Façade of the Iglesia del Carmen.
