According to the data obtained by the Traffic Control Room, from midnight to 9 a.m. 59% fewer vehicles have circulated through the city center compared to Tuesday of last week.

It must be remembered that from today and to avoid the spread of the coronavirus, the capacity of urban and tram buses is limited, which also reduces their frequencies.

In this way, the capacity of urban buses and tram is limited in 1/3.

The urban buses will continue to provide service with the 28 buses of the fleet, distributed in 11 lines and that serve more than 420 expeditions will maintain their schedules and frequencies.

This is due to the type of route they take and the capacity of the buses, which enables them to meet the safety requirements for distance between passengers, reducing their capacity by a third.

According to the order issued by the Ministry of Public Works, intercity bus lines, which connect Murcia with its districts, reduce their expeditions by 60%, taking into account that, on those lines in which the number of expeditions is less than 3 none will be suspended.

In the same way, the capacity of the vehicles is reduced to a third of their total capacity, also suspending the stops that connect universities, educational centers and shopping centers.

As for Murcia Tram, the same frequencies are established as in the month of August: 15 minutes at all stops between 7:30 and 21:30 on weekdays;

Saturdays 20 minutes between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m., and Sundays and holidays 20 minutes between 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. 19:00 hours.

In the rest of the segments the frequency will be every 30 minutes
