The Department of Commerce, Markets and Public Roads has modified the hours of the eight municipal supply squares that, from tomorrow, will open at nine in the morning until four in the afternoon to facilitate service to citizens who work until noon.
Likewise, preventive hygiene measures, cleaning and disinfection, capacity control and minimum safety distance between users and owners of stalls and products are being intensified in all municipal supply squares.
The market canteens remain closed.
The Councilor for Commerce, Markets and Public Roads Juan Fernando Hernández has sent a message of tranquility to the citizens so that they are responsible when making purchases because the supply is assured.
Thus, the head of the Department has indicated that, after maintaining direct contact with MercaMurcia from early in the morning, he has confirmed that the facilities are fully operational, especially the meat complex, which opened at five in the morning. tomorrow, so the basic food supply is guaranteed;
and that the necessary protocols are being implemented since MercaMurcia is considered a single operator.
The responsible mayor has thanked the behavior of the customers of the supply squares "for their responsible attitude towards the coronavirus crisis and the adoption of the recommendations and measures that are being carried out."
Likewise, he has reported that he is in permanent contact with those responsible for the supply squares and that, at least for the moment, they are the ones who will be proposing the minimum services in the eight municipal supply squares.
As for the weekly markets, the head of the area has recalled that all municipal markets have been suspended, both public and private.
"Both the local police and the inspectors of the service monitor daily that the suspension is met."
