Once the President of the Government of Spain has announced the promulgation of the Royal Decree declaring the state of alarm for the management of the health crisis situation caused by COVID-19, and considering that it establishes the suspension of face-to-face educational activity in all centers and stages, cycles, degrees, courses and levels of education, as well as that employers will be obliged to facilitate measures that allow for the employment or civil service provision of employees by means of non-contact means whenever possible ;
the Rector of the University of Murcia has agreed the following:
First: Immediately suspend all face-to-face, academic and non-academic activities at the University of Murcia.
Second: The buildings of the University of Murcia will remain closed until further notice.
Third: Notwithstanding the provisions of the previous point, and without prejudice to the general recommendation of the health authorities to restrict mobility, such as the declaration of the State of Alarm allows the "displacement to the workplace to carry out (the) labor provision , professional or business ", the members of the university community will be able to access the buildings voluntarily, using their university cards to carry out essential tasks related to teaching, research, management or administration.
Fourth: The Management will take the necessary decisions in order to guarantee the maintenance services and those others that are convenient for the insurance of people and goods.
Fifth: The entire university community is encouraged to comply with the instructions and recommendations issued by the health authorities and also to follow the information linked to the UMU only through our official channels.
