Statement from the Cathedral Chapter

Following the recommendations that the Bishop of Cartagena, Mons. José Manuel Lorca Planes, has communicated this morning, in order to collaborate in the protection of the health of the faithful, the Cathedral Chapter has decided to suspend the following celebrations in the Holy Cathedral Church :

- The Via Crucis that are celebrated every Friday of Lent, at 6:30 and 5:00 p.m.

- Saturday in honor of the Virgen de la Fuensanta every Saturday, at 7:00 p.m.

- The cycle "Beauty, truth and life", Sundays of Lent, at 6:00 p.m.

- And the passage of children under the cloak of the Virgen de la Fuensanta, scheduled for March 25.

As indicated by the Bishop of Cartagena this morning, Popular TV will broadcast, from Monday to Friday, the Masses at 12:00 and 19:30 from the Cathedral.

These measures, and others that could eventually be taken, are temporary until the health authorities indicate so.

The Cabildo invites all the faithful to pray to the Virgen de la Fuensanta to intercede before God and grant health to the sick, strengthen their families and free us from all dangers.
