The City Council, through the Municipal Health Services, has given this morning instructions on advice, protective measures and preventive hygiene against the coronavirus in municipal centers and transport, as agreed in the Public Health Committee held yesterday.
Thus, during the day 3,000 posters have been delivered in schools, institutes, nursery schools, cultural, senior and women's centers, buses, trams, sports facilities and other municipal buildings in order to provide detailed information on how to properly perform hygiene of hands, both with alcoholic disinfectant and with soap and water.
The information that the City Council has transferred includes symptoms to detect the coronavirus (fever, cough and shortness of breath), protective measures (hand hygiene, avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth, avoiding close contact, cover your mouth when you cough or sneeze and use tissues.)
It also offers information and emergency telephones: 900 12 12 12 and 112.
On the other hand, 275 antiseptic gel dispensers have been installed in the different time control terminals by fingerprint as one of the precautionary measures regarding the coronavirus, and in citizen assistance offices.
Likewise, cleaning companies have been instructed to intensify their work, increasing the frequency of cleaning of common spaces, and specifically elements such as grabs, knobs, railings or faucets, in addition to ensuring that at no time there is no soap in sinks, as well as ventilate the rooms.
This afternoon a Public Health Committee will take place in order to study the assessment of the situation and establish other measures in order to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
On the other hand, next Friday a Workplace Health and Safety Commission will take place in order to continue studying different measures about the coronavirus.
A first meeting was held last Friday, February 28
During yesterday's meeting of this municipal committee were adopted, among other measures, postpone or cancel various organized mass events such as the City Council, such as Murcia Play, MurciaSeMueve or the act of delivering Local Police medals, Culture and Citizenship conferences and a series of open days of the Telecare service and the conciliation center of Juan Carlos I.
