The Foresta Plan arrives at the Juan de la Cierva de Casillas school (10/03/2020)

The councilor of Pedanías and Barrios, Marco Antonio Fernández, has attended today the planting of new trees in the Juan de la Cierva de Casillas school within the Forest Plan.

The students of 4th, 5th and 6th grade of Primary Education have been the protagonists of this activity in which they have planted different specimens of paulonias, mulberry trees and small trees.

The center joins the environmental strategy of the City Council that has begun with a theoretical session and has finished with the planting of trees with the help of municipal technicians.

"The Forest Plan enters schools and allows students to learn about the importance of the environment, through a playful initiative and among peers," said the councilor.

The City Council of Murcia has proposed to double the forest mass of the municipality, from 100,000 to 200,000 trees.

Thus, throughout the weeks, plantations are carried out in different locations and spaces of the municipality and in charge of different groups and with people of all ages, from young, old, school and neighbors.

Specifically, these activities have already been carried out at the Painter Pedro Cano centers in El Palmar, the Juan XXIII school in El Ranero and the CEIP Juan Carlos I in Llano de Brujas, San Andrés de Murcia, Nuestra Señora de la Arrixaca, the Infant School of La Paz, at the Puente Doñana de La Albatalía school, at Francisco Salzillo de Los Ramos and at the IES Miravete de Torreagüera and the Sacred Heart of Zeneta.
