The sports teams of the University of Murcia prepare for the Championships of Spain (09/03/2020)

The Autonomous University Sports Championship (CADU) in team modalities will be held in Murcia on 10, 11 and 12 March.

This is the qualifying phase for the Spanish University Championships and will face the UMU and UCAM teams.

The competition will consist of a single game match and will feature the men's and women's Basketball, Handball, Soccer, Futsal, Rugby and Volleyball categories.

As a novelty of this year, the intermediate phase called CUIA (Inter-Autonomous University Championship) that faced universities from different Autonomous Communities has been abolished.

In this way, the winning teams in the CADU will go directly to the final phase of the Spanish Championship.

The men's basketball game will be on Tuesday 10 at 8:30 p.m. at the Sports Palace in Murcia, while the women's game will be on Wednesday 11 at the Fausto Vicent Pavilion in Alcantarilla at 1 p.m.

The San Basilio de Murcia Pavilion will be the stage where handball matches will be played: the men's category on Tuesday 10 at 8:15 p.m. and the women's category on Thursday 12 at 8:15 p.m.

In women's 11 football, the only match will be Wednesday 11 at 4:00 p.m. at the Mayayo de Sangonera Soccer Field in the men's category

For their part, the two futsal matches will be played on Thursday 12. The men's team will do so at the Sports Palace at 10 am and the women's team at the Cagigal Pavilion at 12.30 pm.

In Rugby you will only compete in the men's category.

The confrontation will take place in the rugby field of Las Torres de Cotillas on Tuesday 10 at 1:00 p.m.

Finally, volleyball clashes will be played at the Infant Pavilion in Murcia on Wednesday 11 at 12:00 hours (male) and at 14 hours (female).

In addition, the dates of the Spanish University Championship for individual sports that will be organized by the University of Murcia in its facilities have already been confirmed: Olympic Wrestling (April 16 and 17), Taekwondo (May 15 and 16) and Karate (21 and 22 of May).
