Cáritas Diocese of Cartagena and the Murcia Commercial Area Federation (FEMUAC) today signed a collaboration agreement through which, the federation will promote and disseminate the "Huchas Solidarias" campaign of Cáritas.
Santiago Vera, president of the Federation, has affirmed that Murcia businesses are always with the most needy and this campaign "will allow you to put your grain of sand in the fight with social exclusion".
On the other hand, the Secretary General of Cáritas Diocese of Cartagena, Juan Antonio Illán, thanked the willingness of the Federation and all businesses that belong to it to participate in this campaign that will allow "the image of Cáritas is always present every once someone buys in a city store. "
The "Huchas Solidarias" campaign was launched at the beginning of 2020 in the shops of the city center and the Barrio del Carmen and they hope to be present in all the neighborhoods of Murcia at the end of the year.
It is a pilot project that, depending on the response, is intended to be exported to other municipalities in the Region.
Carías Diocese of Cartagena closed the year 2019 with more than 80,000 disadvantaged people accompanied by one of the 152 parish Caritas, 6 Territorial Caritas, 5 Territorial Projects or 3 Diocesan Projects that are carried out in the Region of Murcia.
The Murcia Commercial Area Federation, by its acronym FEMUAC, encompasses a fortnight of associations spread throughout the municipality.
It was born in 2018 with the objective of protecting and promoting the businesses of the municipality with the support of the City of Murcia.
