Yesterday we knew through various media that the Councilor for Development of the City of Murcia -Mario Gómez, of Citizens- has claimed a series of contracts to the Councilor for Urban Development and Modernization of the Administration, Pepe Guillén, of the Popular Party, as he suspects that the improvements in green areas announced by it do not correspond to new investments, but to works already included in the contract for the conservation of gardens and trees.
The secretary general of Podemos Murcia, Ginés Ruiz, has stated that "if these facts are confirmed, we would be facing a new propaganda action by Mayor Ballesta, who seems to be more concerned with marketing than with the welfare of his neighbors, announcing as new an action already contemplated, hired and publicized ".
In addition, the councilor said that "we will be attentive to whether the deadlines and regulations have been met before starting these works, or if the conservation contracts for parks and gardens have been irregularly and unilaterally modified."
"From the municipal government they are sold as achievements and new actions, but they also allow aspects that were included in the contract to be carried out outside the contract, with the economic consequences that this entails for the neighbors," added Ginés Ruiz.
