The activity of the XIX International Charity and Volunteer Conference of the UCAM has continued today with the intervention of Monsignor Bruno-Marie Duffé, secretary of the Dicastery for the Service of Integral Human Development, who has given the conference entitled 'Meaning and content of Development Integral human '.
Monsignor Duffé explained that "Pope Francis wants to give a new dynamic to the mission of the Church, trying to achieve a mainstreaming between the problems of development, education, human rights, health, and solidarity with the poorest and the migrants who have left their land to try to find a place of protection and integration. "
Monsignor Duffé has also addressed the issue of the struggle for peace, which has ensured that his problem is very difficult because there is a conflict of economic interests, power and ideology that makes his work difficult.
"We must propose a reflection and accompany the actors of peace, civil society, economic life, local and political communities," said Monsignor Duffé.
In addition, he pointed out that peace is built with the need to find the conditions for life to be possible on the planet and particularly in countries that have known war.
"The economy is very important in the perspective of peace. Also the protection of the most fragile and the reference to the first principle of Catholic social doctrine, which is the dignity of the human person, respect, see the other as a human being only".
