Kamikaze Theater returns to TCM with 'The Songs', a text by Pablo Messiez based on Chekhov's characters (26/02/2020)

The Teatro Circo Murcia (TCM) hosts this week the play 'The songs', one of the latest successes of Kamikaze Theater (National Theater Award 2017) written and directed by the Argentine Pablo Messiez.

The performance will be this Friday, but first, on Thursday, February 27, the TCM will program the contemporary dance show 'Bruma', by the Isabel Lavella Company.

The dancer and choreographer from Murcia staged a project that started from the images and news of the arrival of boats to the Spanish coast and the feeling of struggle of those who travel there.

Trying not to fall into stereotypes or images that are too recognizable, Lavella has built a show marked by subtlety, without showing directly but suggesting all the emotions that these stories contain;

what happens when the mist appears ... When you don't see what is left behind, but what you want to see, either.

The theater will arrive at the TCM on Friday and Saturday with two applauded scenic proposals: 'The songs' and 'AKA (Also Know As)'.

In the first one, Messiez starts with some characters and situations from Chekhov's works to remember the importance of listening.

Listen to the world and listen to their music.

A tribute to the songs that accompany us since we were born: "Those who sang to us to sleep, those who sang drunk, those that are tied to a memory forever, those that make us laugh, those that we cannot hear without crying."

The performance of 'The songs' will take place on Friday, February 28 (9pm), and tickets can be purchased for 12, 18 and 20 euros.

While those of 'AKA (Also Know As)', on Saturday, February 29 (9pm), have a single price of 15 euros.

Winner of the Max Award for Best Revelation Authorship (Daniel J. Meyer) and Best Actor (Albert Salazar), this monologue brings us closer to the life of a teenager at a time when, by circumstances beyond his control, his foundations tremble , its roots, its identity.

Inviting the public to ask if we are who we feel we are or who people believe.

The weekly program of the Teatro Circo Murcia will end with a new concert of 'Rock in Family', dedicated this time to AC / DC and Metallica.

It will be on Sunday, March 1, at 12 and 18 hours and tickets are on sale for 12 euros (5x4 promotion available at the box office).

At the Romea Theater, the weekly program will begin today Wednesday, February 26 (9pm), with 'Tic, Tac ... Poe'.

A text written by Miguel Galindo and staged by the La Murga Teatro Cartagena company that delves into the imaginary of the writer Edgar Allan Poe, in his characters and also in his fears and obsessions, trying to imagine what happened during his last night alive .

Tickets are on sale, for 10, 12 and 15 euros, at the Romea Theater box office (open Tuesday through Friday, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and from two hours before the start of the performance) and at www.teatroromea.es.

On Friday 28 and Saturday 29, Romea will also open its doors to the XXVII Flamenco Summit of Murcia.

On Friday it will be the turn of El Carpeta and his show 'A baile', in which, following in the wake of his grandfather Farruco, he will address with his youth and strength the new flamenco trends.

On stage, El Carpeta will also be accompanied by his brother, El Farru, as a guest artist.

And also within the veteran flamenco festival, Saturday night will be dedicated to singing, with the performances of two prominent artists: Capullo de Jerez and Miguel de Tena.

For both shows, which start at 9 pm, tickets are on sale for 15, 18 and 22 euros.

Bernal Theater

Music, theater and a children's musical show are the proposals of the Bernal Theater in El Palmar.

Pancho Varona, Mara Barros and Antonio García de Diego will star on Friday, February 28 (9pm), a 'Sabinera Night' during which they will review the greatest successes of their career with Joaquín Sabina, also inviting those who want it among the public to join them.

12 and 15 euros is the price of this show.

On Saturday, February 29 (9pm), the Amateur Theater Series will begin with the El Siscar Theater Group and Antonio Gala's play 'The good days lost'.

Tickets are on sale for 6 euros.

And the week will end, as usual, on Sunday morning (12h) with a family proposal that comes from the hand of Vita Brevis.

The family musical 'The kingdom of the reverse' introduces us to Rosa, a girl whose immense imagination will make her live infinite adventures.

It is a co-production with the Auditorium of Algezares and the tickets are priced at 4 euros.
