Francisco Salzillo de Los Ramos School joins the new tree plantation thanks to the Foresta Plan (25/02/2020)

The center celebrates its Cultural Week with the planting of new specimens that will provide the patio with natural shade.

The students of 3rd Primary Education have been in charge of the plantation, but have previously received a didactic talk about their environmental benefits.

The Councilor for Urban Development and Modernization of the Administration, José Guillen, has attended today the planting of new trees that has been carried out at the Francisco Salzillo de Los Ramos school, an activity that is part of the Forest Plan and will provide the center of new shadow areas.

“Our children participate in an activity that tries to raise awareness about caring for the environment and they do it in a fun and fun way, within their school environment, together with classmates and teachers,†said Councilor José Guillén.

The center joins the environmental strategy of the City Council with the planting of 5 specimens of 'morus alba', popularly known as mulberry trees, which will provide the school's patio with natural shade, and does so as an activity framed in its Cultural Week.

A total of 40 boys and girls from 3rd Primary Education have participated in the activity, which has consisted of a didactic talk about the environment and tree planting with the help of municipal technicians.

Specifically, these activities have already been carried out at the Painter Pedro Cano centers in El Palmar, the Juan XXIII school in El Ranero and the CEIP Juan Carlos I in Llano de Brujas, San Andrés de Murcia, Nuestra Señora de la Arrixaca, La Paz Infant School and the Puente Doñana de La Albatalía School.

2,000 new copies distributed in a hundred schools

More than 20,000 schoolchildren in the municipality of Murcia will have new shadow spaces thanks to the Foresta Plan, which will involve the planting of 2,000 new copies distributed in a hundred schools.

This municipal strategy is being developed in other environments such as Murcia Río, in the districts, parks and gardens, medium and roundabouts, in addition to Terra Natura.
