The UMU receives Moroccan students from the 'Young Generations as Agents of Change' program (25/02/2020)

The University of Murcia has received on Tuesday Moroccan students participating in the YGCA program 'Young Generations as Agents of Change' of the SEPIE, with which they are doing master studies at the UMU.

The YGCA (Young Generation as Change Agents) program is a pilot project of the SEPIE (Spanish Service for the Internationalization of Education), funded mainly by the European Commission that promotes legal migration through educational training.

This program has started in the 2019/20 course and, for the moment, only with Morocco, offering a total of 100 scholarships for Moroccan students to come to study a master's degree in Spanish universities, within 20 strategic areas for the development of the country, with the commitment to return to their places of origin and launch entrepreneurial initiatives from their TFM.

The Vice President for Research and Internationalization of the UMU, through the Campus of International Excellence Campus Mare Nostrum and the International Relations Area, is one of the 22 Spanish institutions that participate in the program during this first year and, through which, The students received are studying for a master's degree.

The total budget of the program is 2,625,000 euros for this year and includes the expenses of insurance, travel, accommodation and maintenance of the participants, in addition to the study fees of registration, enrollment, issuance of title, Spanish courses and training in entrepreneurship.

The program is expected to continue in the future open to other countries.
