The IV National Course on Multiple Sclerosis and Cognition aims to promote training on the treatment of multiple sclerosis, a chronic disease that affects the central nervous system, for which papers, discussion tables and workshops on the latest advances have been organized related to this disease.

He is attended by neurologists, neuropsychologists, nurses and other health personnel.

The director of the conference is Dr. José Meca Lallana, head of the Multiple Sclerosis Unit of the Virgen de la Arrixaca University Clinical Hospital and director of the UCAM Chair of Clinical Neurology and Multiple Sclerosis.

Regarding the latest advances in the treatment of this disease, he explained that "the studies on the drugs we use address the response to variables such as mobility, although cognitive involvement remains a challenge, so far in the background."

Regarding the treatment of those affected, Dr. Meca has stressed that we are at a good time "since any patient with this disease in the Region of Murcia has access to both diagnosis and drugs," and nationally "in general access the treatments are guaranteed. "
