Pérez: "The Murcia supported mostly the Mayor's mobility plan, no matter how much Mr. Serrano weighs" (20/02/2020)

The Councilor for Sustainable Mobility and Youth, Rebeca Pérez, has responded to the PSOE that "Serrano has the lights on since it is dedicated to the analysis of specific measures without addressing the global plan for improving public transport."

“While they have focused on the extension of the tram with a million-dollar investment for 2 kilometers, we are working on the design of a comprehensive solution for the reorganization of all municipal public transport by providing coverage with public transport to half a million Murciaâ€, Perez has pointed out.

The councilor has added that “it goes out of all logic that a few years ago the representatives of the PSOE said that the extension of the tram was a useless luxury and now Serrano is obsessed with this means of transport without seeing beyond.

“The socialist spokesman recently asked for greater respect in our public communiqués when now he, instead of making a serious and solvent proposal, limits himself to the insult.

He sees the straw in someone else's eye and does not beam it in his own, â€Perez criticized.

In relation to the technical commission held yesterday, “the technical specification itself provides for it, so we have simply complied with that specification.

During the meeting, the necessary topics and documents were prepared for the Transportation Board to be held on the 26th â€.

“Serrano is wrong when he says that the tramway project has been imposed without having anyone.

We have had the majority support of the votes of the Murcia, being the tram bus a project that was part of the electoral program of our Mayor in the last elections â€.

“Beyond the backbone proposed by the BRT, our mobility plan will be a real revolution of the 584,000 annual expeditions that are carried out by our urban transport.

Throughout the process, participation will be essential as technical assistance will conduct more than 5,000 surveys and develop a plan on transportation needs with the presidents of the Municipal Boards, â€said the spokeswoman.

Pérez has insisted that "while we in each response reaffirm our mobility plan and explain in detail what it consists of, they only manifest their lack of model and commitment to the entire municipality based on specific occurrences"

"Serrano may come to the City Council, the next day, in a public transport, effective, sustainable and efficient," has concluded the councilwoman
