The University of Murcia presented on Thursday the aid to academic excellence of the clubs Rotary Club Murcia and Rotary Club Murcia-University.
These are two scholarships whose objective is to facilitate the incorporation into the official university studies of the UMU, as well as their subsequent development, in favor of students with excellent results from undergraduate studies.
As explained by Paloma Sobrado, Vice Chancellor of Students and Services to the University Community, they can apply for these grants and, where appropriate, benefit from them who are enrolled during the 2019-2020 course in the first course of any of the official master's degrees taught at the centers of the University of Murcia.
Both grants will be endowed with 1,500 euros for each selected applicant and will be used to cover expenses derived from the studies of the official master's degree requested.
In particular, the aid will be used to cover the purchase of books and manuals;
internship and laboratory material;
educational software and hardware;
attendance at congresses and scientific or professional meetings;
and, complementary training to that of the official studies studied (languages, ICTs, disability, entrepreneurial activity, gender equality, etc.).
The student beneficiaries of these grants will have a mentor or mentor, who will carry out a work of guidance and academic and scientific monitoring, with the aim of enhancing the quality and excellence of their university education.
Applications may be submitted within 10 business days from the publication of the call.
