The actions consist in the elimination of branches and palms that invade the passage of pedestrians and cyclists, in addition to the revision of the existing furniture along the 26.5 kilometers.

These works are carried out several times a year, but they also intervene in specific actions such as some branch or element that may disturb the users of the lane.

"The care of our spaces and the promotion of outdoor sports are essential points for the session, thus contributing to the quality of life of people and the practice of healthy habits," said Councilman José Guillén.

The City of Murcia, through the Department of Urban Development and Modernization of the Administration, which directs José Guillén, is carrying out various tasks of conditioning the bike lane located between El Raal and La Contraparada, on the occasion of the arrival of winter and coinciding with the increased use of the bike lanes.

Between the works they emphasize the cleared of the undergrowth, the elimination of branches and palms that invade the zone of passage of the cyclists, as well as a detailed revision of the different existing banks along these 26,5 kilometers.

"What is being done these days is to review, section by section, that the space, through which many people walk and cycle every day, is in perfect condition," said Councilor Pepe Guillén.

The work is carried out by a team of six professionals of the STV-Actúa concessionary company, dressed in the regulatory safety equipment for this type of tasks, for which blowers and brushcutters are used, thus allowing effective work in a fast and safe way .

These procedures, although carried out intensively several times a year, are also carried out in specific actions if any branch or natural element bothers within the course of these 26.5 kilometers of natural landscape.
