Students of the Murcia Employa Hospitality School will show their skills to Murcian companies with SICTED distinctive (19/02/2020)

The Training Center and Employment Initiatives of El Palmar has hosted a third meeting organized by the Employment service this afternoon, which, on this occasion, will bring together more than twenty Murcia companies with the distinctive SICTED (Integral System of Tourism Quality in Destination) to publicize your service letter and strengthen ties.

Culinary skills

In this way, the room service of the Murcia Emploa School of Hospitality shows its culinary skills to entrepreneurs from different sectors, through a menu designed for the occasion that will serve the guests at this meeting, which they have attended, on behalf of the City Council, the Councilor for Employment, Economic Promotion and Employment, Pedro García Rex;

and by the CARM, the Minister of Tourism, Youth and Sports, María Cristina Sánchez;

and the general director of Competitiveness and Tourism Quality, Esther Tenza.

More budget allocation

For his part, the responsible mayor Pedro García Rex has once again valued "the work and commitment of the hundred SICTED companies and services that understand quality as the basis and element of promoting the competitiveness of their organizations and, therefore, of destination".

In this sense, García Rex has stressed the "need to continue improving the offer and that Murcia continue to consolidate itself as a competitive, attractive and quality destination, but for this we need greater budgetary allocation and promotion by the Ministry of Tourism."

Labor insertion: 97%

As for the students of the School of Hospitality of the City of Murcia - whose degree of labor insertion reached 97 percent last year - it is made up of 24 students who attend Professional Certificates of level 2 in kitchen and bar-cafeteria service.

In addition, they are formed with high quality standards, evidenced by the ISO 9001: 2015 certificate of the municipal training programs that are taught.

Training and labor intermediation

Likewise, the attending companies have been able to know first-hand the resources of the Employment service, among them, the training aimed at future workers through certificates of professionalism, non-work practices of students, labor intermediation of workers to cover job offers, as well as online training for active workers.

Employment exchange

Likewise, the responsible councilor has referred to the municipal employment exchange.

"Through this bag, interested entrepreneurs can access, quickly and free of charge, qualified personnel, with the guarantee that the selected professional has received quality training."

Prior to the room service, attendees have toured the Training Center and Employment Initiatives El Palmar where they will visit the facilities of the School of Hospitality "Murcia Employs", specifically the hotel school and kitchen, in addition to Other workshops such as carpentry, in which students take the Certificate of Professionalism of wood and furniture.
