The image of the Virgin of Fuensanta will shortly end your stay at the Restoration Center of the Region of Murcia.
During these days the last details of its restoration are being made and on February 28, the image will return to its sanctuary.
The Cabildo has confirmed that that day, at 5:30 p.m., the official delivery of the image already restored to the Bishop of Cartagena and the Cabildo de la Catedral, responsible for its custody and worship will take place.
At the end of the official act, the solemn Vespers prayer will be celebrated at 6:00 p.m.
The descent of the Fuensanta is advanced half an hour
On March 5, the image of Virgen de la Fuensanta will leave her sanctuary to go down to the city of Murcia.
When the level crossing of Santiago el Mayor is closed, when arriving at Ronda Sur, the traditional route will be altered, so that it will go to the right until the round known as the Media Mark and from there it will pass through Pintor Almela Costa Street to Torre de Romo, recovering there its traditional route to the parish of Our Lady of Carmen.
So that the Virgin of Fuensanta arrives at 19:00 at Carmen, the Cabildo has decided to advance the exit of her sanctuary half an hour, so that she will leave at 2:30 p.m.
