The aesthetics of Salvador Romera announces the Burial of the most festive and colorful Sardine on its 170th anniversary (15/02/2020)

José Ballesta praised "the personal, minimalist and avant-garde aesthetic of Salvador Romera, full of color and joy, transmitting energy and vitality in each stroke".

The La Sardina 2020 Arrival Parade will start this year from San Antolin, simulating the first celebration of this party.

The mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, together with the Minister of Tourism, Youth and Sports, Cristina Sánchez, the Councilor for Culture and Heritage Recovery, Jesús Pacheco, and the president of the Sardinera Association, José Antonio Sánchez, discovered this morning the Poster announcing the Burial of the Sardine 2020 in the Assembly Hall of the Moneo Building, and presented the Arrival Parade of the Sardine 2020, which this year will start from the Murcian neighborhood of San Antolín.

“This party finds its roots in the streets of San Antolin, where the Burial of the Sardine was born thanks to the efforts of several Murcia students, who decided to export the idea of ​​the masquerades of Madrid to their land, Murcia, 170 years ago”, highlighted José Ballesta, who added that “the Arrival Parade of Sardine 2020, which will simulate the first celebration of this party, will be held on April 16”.

The author of the poster announcing the Burial of Sardine 2020, which Murcia will host on April 18, is Marco Salvador Romera (Puerto Lumbreras, 1953), known radiophonic as 'El Nińo Versor'.

This sardine-themed work has as its main colors blue, red, white, yellow and pink.
