2030 Forest Plan

The Forest Plan is the strategy with which the City Council has proposed to double the number of trees in the next decade, from 100,000 to 200,000 copies.

The main objective of this plan is the care of the environment and the promotion of sustainability.

A tree absorbs up to 150 kg of CO2 per year, which makes it excellent filters for urban pollutants and small particles, improve the environment, generate innumerable health benefits, create shade and improve temperature.

The City Council plans to carry out this plan with the participation and collaboration of the entire Murcian society, for which actions are being carried out in different schools, senior centers, neighborhoods and districts of Murcia, as well as in the Vía Verde and in Terra Natura
