The Javalí Nuevo office will cover nearly 4,000 neighbors and will open its doors in autumn (14/02/2020)

The mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, together with the Minister of Health, Manuel Villegas, the Councilor for Sports and Health, Felipe Coello, and the Councilor for Pedanías y Barrios, Marco Antonio Fernández, visited this morning the works that are being undertaken for the construction of the new office of the hamlet of Javalí Nuevo, which will have two floors spread over an area of ​​550 square meters.

"This medical office, which will cover nearly 4,000 residents of Javalí Nuevo, is one of the priority actions included in the Extraordinary Investment Plan in Pedanías, endowed with 14 million euros," said José Ballesta, who added that "from the City Council will continue to invest in guaranteeing access to public services on equal terms to each of the 450,000 Murcia, without distinctions of any kind, achieving the territorial structuring and social cohesion of our municipality â€.

For his part, the Minister Manuel Villegas said that “with the construction of this new office we take another step in the commitment of this Government to bring primary care to all citizens and improve the quality of care, with modern facilities and that respond to the demands of the residents of this district of Murcia â€.

An investment of 416,000 euros

The works of this new infrastructure were awarded for an amount of € 416,821, of which 216,821 euros were contributed by the City of Murcia and 200,000 euros by the Murcia Health Service.

It is planned that the works, which are being carried out behind the back of the Javalí Nuevo municipal pavilion, will be completed this fall and that is when the activity begins in the center.

"The new facilities are part of the network of offices and health centers in the municipality of Murcia, which integrates a total of 65 centers distributed in the 880 km2 of the municipality, serving the neighbors of all districts," he said. the mayor, who added that "38 of these local offices are municipal management."

It will have 9 consultations and 9 professionals

The new medical infrastructure will have four medical consultations, three family medicine and one pediatric medicine, as well as four nursing consultations;

two of general nursing, a ward of priests and another of pediatric nursing.

You will also have a query for multipurpose use.

Specifically, the new center will cover a total of 3,808 residents of the district.

Two floors to serve users

The center will have two floors, covering an area of ​​550 square meters.

The reception area, general store and file space will be located on the ground floor.

In addition, you will have a health care area, with a waiting room for four consultations.

On the other hand, another general waiting room will be located on the upper floor with the rest of the consultations, three of family medicine and two for general nursing.

Also, this new center will have an elevator with the capacity to lift stretchers to the upper floor and transport patients.

Los Ramos also opened an office in 2017

This municipal medical office in Javalí Nuevo joins the one opened in 2017 by Mayor José Ballesta in the Los Ramos district.

The sanitary infrastructure, financed entirely by the City of Murcia with 226,000 euros, has 235 m2 and provides 3,200 people.

It serves two family doctors, two nurses, a pediatrician and an assistant, as appropriate to the staffing performed by the Ministry of Health.
