The Councilor for Seniors, Disability and Development Cooperation, Paqui Pérez, has announced the launch of the rehabilitation project of the new Senior Social Center of San Miguel, which the technicians of the Office of Works and Projects are already drafting, with a Estimated investment of 266,200 euros.
Currently, San Miguel partners are still located in a rented space, located next to the premises that the City of Murcia acquired in March 2018 to launch this project.
"It is time to promote the rehabilitation of this municipal premises, first because we are paying a rent for the current one when we have one in property; and second and not least, to be able to cover the large number of members of downtown San Miguel and finally have facilities suitable for their needs and the volume of activities and services they develop, "said mayor Paqui Pérez.
In this sense, the person in charge of Elderly has explained that "the project contemplates giving attention to the same program of current needs, but with larger facilities, completely accessible and adapted to the different capacities, modern, energy efficient and with a design that will guarantee a natural lighting. "
In this way, the new social center, with a constructed area of 350 square meters, will have a multipurpose room with a stage included and another space that will be divided into smaller rooms, dining room and playground;
