Storytelling, workshops and literary events make up the activities of the Murcia network of libraries for February and March (11/02/2020)

The Municipal Network of Libraries of Murcia (RMBM) has organized for the months of February and March a program of varied and free activities for an audience of all ages.

The Councilor for Urban Agenda and Open Government, Mercedes Bernabé, today presented the new program, "with which we want libraries to act as the cultural engine of the neighborhoods and districts where they are located, to be a place of coexistence."

Among the activities most traditionally demanded by users and that will continue to be offered are the Reading Clubs, which are held in 15 libraries, with titles such as 'La cena', by Hernan Koch, 'La novena', by Marcela Serrano or 'The pain of others', by Miguel Ángel Hernández, among others.

Likewise, we continue with Storytime, school visits, Easy Reading Clubs, Dumas Club, Cinefórum, informative talks, book presentations, meetings with writers, workshops with babies, chess workshops and board games, among others.

To these permanent activities we must add others such as the actions within the Argos Altacan program, aimed at preventing the consumption of alcohol, tobacco, cannabis and other substances, organized by the City Council, through the Municipal Health Service in collaboration with the Ministry of health.

Both activities will be the La Alberca Library.

The Cabezas Blancas project will also be announced over several days and at different locations, by the Association that bears the same name and whose objective is to promote cultural projects.

This activity will take place in La Alberca and San Basilio.

On the occasion of the carnival holiday, the little ones can participate in a craft workshop to make their own costumes.

It will be in the El Carmen Library.

The music will sound in La Alberca with the auditions of pianists of the Musicalberk Musical Association within the Piano Week, which will be held the first week of March.

Another of the outstanding activities of these months will be the storyteller of 'Pulgarcito' with puppets in the library of El Carmen, as well as the reading of a story about equality in the Río Segura center.
