During the Special Commission for the Surveillance of Contracting that has been held today it was possible to confirm, as advanced last week by the Councilor for Development and responsible for Contracting, Mario Gómez, that the workers of the municipal warehouse crane service, located in the public parking lot of Los Pinos, they are performing a double function: the processing of withdrawal of vehicles by the municipal crane and the attention to the public and parking management, when it comes to two different concessions.
Confirmed on site
This has been ratified by those responsible for the political groups represented in this Commission after visiting the facilities this afternoon and confirming the situation.
In addition, two of the workers of the municipal crane service have ratified this morning to the members of the Commission of Surveillance of the Hiring that "during the afternoons, nights and weekends control the access, the attention to the public and the payment of the parking ".
Based on the information obtained by the Contracting Supervision Commission, timely information will be requested from the crane service concession company to provide the relevant explanations and thus verify the degree of compliance with the specifications.
Parking contract
In parallel to the investigation, monitoring and control of the crane service concession, Mario Gómez has reported that they will also request information from the Los Pinos car park concessionaire to ratify the terms of the contract and confirm compliance.
In this sense, the person in charge of Recruitment has reiterated that "since we arrived at the local Government we are exercising greater control of the winning companies to guarantee, as is our obligation, and that the obligations contracted are strictly complied with in order to offer the best public service and avoid favor and flagrant breaches by the concessionaires. "
