"I refuse to keep the PSOE doing politics with such a sensitive issue as the Algezares Children's School" (07/02/2020)

"I refuse to have the Socialist Municipal Group policy on such a sensitive issue as the Algezares Children's School," said the Councilor for Education and Infantile Schools of the City of Murcia, Belén López.

The mayor said that "while from the government team we are looking for solutions, Councilman Antonio Benito uses this issue, again and again, as a throwing weapon to make policy."

"As I committed myself in the plenary of a week ago and thus I communicated to the corporation partner, I have summoned the affected families to inform them of all the steps that are being carried out and they will proceed to the creation of a working group, where all the parties involved will be present, "Belén López responds to the councilor of the socialist municipal group.

The mayor says that "the school of Algezares is a sensitive issue that can not be treated lightly, because I said so from the beginning and I will repeat it as many times as necessary."

"Children need a decent space, with the best services and with the appropriate security measures," he explains.

"It surprises me that Mr. Benito describes my management as 'disastrous', while he demonstrates once again that he is not worried neither for children nor for education, but for making a political career and clouding every step I take," he adds. .

The municipal official stresses that "the PSOE wants to use this issue, since just a week ago in the municipal plenary session it was given all the explanations they requested and now they try again to bring this issue to the present."

In this sense, Belén López insists on refusing to discuss this issue "with a person who thinks more about the acronym of his party than on doing things properly" and stresses that he will ask "his leaders to put responsible politicians, to leave the occurrences of relieving parents and meeting with me to reach a viable solution that satisfies everyone, as concluded in the amendment passed in the Plenary. "

"I would also like to remind Mr. Benito that this government team, chaired by Mayor José Ballesta, always works to provide solutions. The construction of the La Paz Children's School, with the latest advances in construction in this type of centers, having achieved In addition to this, financing of European funds is a good proof of that. "

"As for the distant policy that the socialist group accuses us of, if the PSOE shows anything it is a cold practice and far from the Spaniards," Belén López adds, to which he asks: "Does Councilor Benito intend that we imitate the politics of your party regarding infrastructure, investments and attitude towards our city and our Region? or do we copy with the pleasia of the president of the Government towards the non-deputy Torra? "

"The Infant School of San Roque will remain in Algezares, with more capacity and with the needs of today. It is an issue that concerns us all from the first moment and that should be treated with the greatest respect and dedication, because it is in I play the welfare and safety of entire families, "he concludes.
