The Councilor for Social and Family Rights, Pilar Torres, has attended the presentation of the 2019 report of the Tunstall Televida company that provides the municipal telecare service.
Torres has congratulated "this entity for its 25th anniversary offering this service and for the satisfaction that users show with the telecare that makes it have a preventive character and promotion of personal autonomy"
Currently there are 3,078 telecare beneficiaries who pay attention at home in situations of health and social emergency during the 365 days of the year and 24 hours, through the telephone line, by means of a medallion or bracelet that the person wears and that it works with the push of a button, putting it in contact with a telemarketer located in a call center.
The service also has two mobile units and two fast-care vehicles, which move to the home if necessary.
Also, in addition to basic telecare, there is advanced telecare, which are special devices, among which smoke, gas, fire, mobility, TAM (out-of-home, mobile) and CARECHAT (for people with hearing difficulties and Communication).
The service has a 24-hour service center, which among other benefits, carries out an agenda system for the administration of medications, medical appointments or preventive monitoring in heat and cold waves.
As for the associated technology, the program has 1,800 special devices installed.
Likewise, the municipal telecare service develops different actions such as the program 'We speak and detect' Special Programs for Attention to Abuse, and the Program for 'Active and Healthy Aging'
