Students from Reunion Island visit the emblematic Plenary Hall of the City Council (03/02/2020)

The Councilor for Urban Agenda and Open Government, Mercedes Bernabé, has received this morning in the Plenary Hall of the City Council a group of students, coming from the Reunion Island of France, who are studying Spanish at the Hispanic Institute.

The mayor has explained the history of the Plenary Hall, "a very emblematic place of the session, because here are some of the most important decisions of the municipality and where they also receive authorities such as kings, presidents and mayors of other cities."

The visit is framed in an Erasmus Plus Project 'Professional Challenges', in which the students, between 16 and 17 years old, will carry out internships during the month of February in different companies of Murcia and will live with families of the municipality.

This experience will allow them to know the culture and deepen their knowledge of Spanish.

Finally, Mercedes Bernabé thanked the Hispanic Institute for the opportunity to meet these students and highlighted their work in learning Spanish.
