Murcia Spanish Capital of Gastronomy begins its programming with Samantha Vallejo-Nágera, Maldita Nerea and Viva Sweden (24/01/2020)

During the event, which will be held this Sunday afternoon at the Romea Theater, the winter program will be presented with people from the gastronomic world and with the presence of the municipalities of the Region.

Murcian pastry chefs will offer 1,500 chocolate monkeys in Romea square where a giant screen will be installed

The Romea theater hosts this Sunday at 7pm the launch event to present the programming of the winter season of Murcia Spanish Capital of Gastronomy with the performances of Maldita Nerea and Viva Sweden and with the presence of Samantha Vallejo-Nágera of MasterChef Spain .

After Wednesday's transfer in Fitur of the capital, in this act are invited agents of the sector and representatives of the municipalities of the Region, so it represents the union between civil society and the various entities of the gastronomic sector, a turning point for the future of Murcia.

In this celebration, which will be broadcast by the 7tv and presented by Luis Alcázar and Fran Sáez, a giant screen will be installed outside so that this act can be seen from the square, in addition a tasting of 1,500 monkeys with chocolate will be made in charge of master pastry chefs from Murcia.

Anyone who wants to attend and enjoy the concerts of these Murcia groups can pick up their tickets for free at the headquarters of Murcia Gastronomic Capital (ground floor of the Romea Theater) from 10 am to 2 pm and from 5 pm to 8 pm.

This winter season program will host the wine tastings of the Region of Murcia, artistic workshops related to gastronomy, the forums of ideas from experts in the sector, colloquiums on architecture and decoration, Tuna Week, cheese week and the jams, the international market of Mixtura, design competitions or master class of the winners of CreaMurcia in the category of gastronomy among others.

Seasonal Programming

This year of capitality has been structured in four seasons, each with its own discourse, elaborations and products of each season.

Winter in this case is the season of pruning, preparing the land, breaking and fertilizing the land so that it is fertile.

It is the time to prepare the seed: the moment of fertilization.

But it is also the time to value winter sweets, Murciatone, donuts and Christmas sweets;

as well as the most traditional and forceful stews: the broth with balls, the stew, the wheat stew and the rice with beans.
