The Councilor for Urban Agenda and Open Government, Mercedes Bernabé, meets with Giovanni Mondini, president of the Confindustria delegation in the Italian city to strengthen ties with other areas of society, beyond the work between municipalities.
The Councilor for Urban Agenda and Open Government, Mercedes Bernabé, has held a meeting with Giovanni Mondini, president of the Genoa delegation of Confindustria (National Confederation of Italian Industry), the main representative organization of Italian manufacturing and services companies.
In the words of Mercedes Barnabas, "this institutional meeting is an important step for our twinning, since we must go beyond the work between municipalities involving both citizens and companies and other entities."
During the meeting, information was exchanged on the demographic, cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of both cities, highlighting the similarities between the two locations of the Mediterranean arch.
The councilor also presented the Murcia Spanish Capital of Gastronomy project, in which Genoa will collaborate with a program of joint actions, requesting the dissemination of this event among the hospitality associations registered in the confederation.
“The promotion of the Mediterranean gastronomic culture and the local variations of both territories is one of the lines of action of the joint work program in this twinning, also promoting the exchange of gastronomic experts from both cities,†notes Bernabé.
This action will be materialized through gastronomic and oenological immersion events, which allow us to identify the links between the two territories and generate a greater international projection of both culinary cultures.
