Murcia records up to 60 liters per square meter of rain in the last 24 hours (21/01/2020)

The municipality of Murcia has registered in the last 24 hours, according to the CHS rain gauges, up to 60 liters per square meter.

The areas where more water has been collected, according to the rain gauges of Aguas de Murcia, have been Sangonera la Verde (with 57 liters per square meter), El Valle (with 56) and Cabezo de la Plata (with 55).

Currently, the different municipal services that are part of the special device such as Local Police, Civil Protection, Firefighters, Traffic, Water of Murcia, Street Cleaning, Public Lighting and Parks and Gardens, as well as the Mobile Emergency Service and Social Care (BE MORE).

The device launched by the Local Police has acted by closing different roads in the municipality such as the Rambla de Espinardo, the access to Joven Futura from C / Mayor de Espinardo, the Vereda del Rincón Gallego (Torreagüera), the Rambla de Churra, the Rambla del Secano de Beniaján, Avenida Reino de Murcia, Rambla del Carmen (Cabezo de Torres), Carril de los Márquez (Rambla Garruchal), RM F-19 of the Sale of the Pelá to La Tercia (Gea and Truyols ), the Paso de los Carros (Sangonera la Seca), the auxiliary lane of Plaza de los Cubos (Churra), RM F-60, from Peraleja to Sucina, RM F-20, exit from Avileses to Sucina;

the Cabezo de la Plata to Torremendo (Cañadas de San Pedro), the Rambla del Albujón (Lobosillo), Cegarras Nuevos (Avileses), the avenue.

Murciana Region (Algezares), Miguel de Cervantes Avenue (Murcia) and Aranjuez Avenue (Murcia).

Lightning bus lines 14, 44, 50 and 1 have been affected by the cutting of roads.

In addition, some traffic light crossings have run out of service, being quickly restored by the Traffic Service.

The only traffic light regulations currently affected are those of the Plaza de la Opinion and the Marist crosswalk on the Malecon.

Street lighting has also been interrupted in 29 streets of Murcia and districts where the Public Lighting Service works to restore normalcy as soon as possible.

During the morning, the teaching activity was suspended at the CEIP Avileses and at the Julián Romea concerted center in El Raal.
