The PSOE will create a working group with its representatives in districts to make proposals and promote the Regulation of Municipal Boards (17/01/2020)

The socialist councilor says that "it is necessary to update it to reality, in terms of the work system, in terms of resources and, above all, in terms of the figure of the mayor or mayor of the district because now it is in a limbo without legal guarantees "

The Municipal Socialist Group considers the implementation of a regulation that regulates the operation of municipal councils to be mandatory.

For this reason, it plans to create a working group with spokespersons and mayors of districts to define the proposals that should be part of the aforementioned regulation.

For the socialist councilor Ainhoa Sánchez, "it is necessary that all the boards, governs the party that governs, have clear the procedure to follow, so that more than the Participation Regulation must contemplate a specific Regulation of Municipal Boards."

"The reality of now is not that of 24 years ago, so the regulation must accommodate the present, in terms of the work system, in terms of resources and, above all, in terms of the figure of the mayor of district because now it is in a limbo without legal guarantees, "says the councilor, who says that" from the PSOE we are aware of the great workload it has, mainly those that govern populations of thousands of inhabitants "and, in this sense , points out that "it is not the same a mayor of a large district than another with 1,000 inhabitants, so it would be appropriate to study the dedication of each."

Ainhoa Sánchez declares that "we cannot allow the work of the mayor of the district to be constantly in question, because they work with a lot of effort and dedication to be the closest person to the neighbors and to those who claim the most when they have a problem. It is ours obligation to enhance their profile and protect them, and for this we need a regulation that clearly includes their functions. "

The councilor says that once the proposals are agreed with spokesmen and mayors of districts, "we will also discuss them with the organization of the party at the municipal level to achieve unanimous support from the entire PSOE."
