The Department of Sustainable Mobility and Youth, through Ferrovial Services, has collected a total of 105,600 kilos, between paper and cardboard, on January 6, 7 and 8.
In order to carry out this special action, one more year, an extraordinary cleaning service was established consisting of strengthening the ordinary paper and cardboard collection service.
It has also been complemented by two collection routes that included six additional trucks and ten operators who have manually collected cardboard and paper from the gift wrappings mostly.
The cleaning teams were also reinforced after the Reyes cavalcade in which several crews of operators and various vehicles of Ferrovial Services immediately cleaned the streets of the center once the ride was over.
On the night of Monday 6, 45,180 kilos of paper and cardboard were collected, twice as much as a normal day, which collects an average of 23,000 kilos
Regarding the cleaning of the public thoroughfare, the special device designed for these dates is continued and the intensive cleaning plan has already begun, in those places where more concentration of events and influx of citizens has had during these dates.
